Strabane Academy - a brief overview.

Strabane Academy situated in the town of Strabane, County Tyrone, is a controlled Grammar School which accepts pupils from all backgrounds. It is an all ability school and has a reputation for good GCSE and "A" level results. The school considers results from both the AQE and/or GL transfer Tests. Formerly known as Strabane Grammar School the school merged with Strabane High School in 2011 to become Strabane Academy. Milltown House, which is part of the school buildings, was built in 1887 and was at one time the home of Frances Alexander who wrote the well-known hymn “All things bright and beautiful.”

Strabane Academy considers results from the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
