St. Malachy's College, Belfast - a brief overview.

St Malachy's College, Belfast is situated in the Antrim Road area of Belfast. It opened on St Malachy’s Day on the 3rd November 1833 with 8 boarders and 10 day boys. The school has been on the same site since its foundation and to-day this large Catholic boys’ school has over 1000 pupils enrolled. The school has first-class facilities and there are plans for more improvements in the near future. The school is well known for both its academic and sporting success. Due to its excellent reputation demand for places in year 8 is always very high with sometimes nearly two applications for each place in

year 8. 

Only pupils with top marks in the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test are likely to secure a place in St Malachy's College.
