Omagh Academy
Omagh Academy - a brief overview.

The population of the country town of Omagh was growing and wealthy men from the area decided that a new school was required and so in September 1903 “The Omagh Academy” was opened. By 1914 the school had 47 pupils and 5 teachers. Today the school has close to 700 pupils. As the school population grew new facilities have been built giving the school modern facilities for every aspect of its education. The school makes considerable effort to ensure that the transition from primary school to Omagh academy is as stress free as possible.

Omagh Academy uses the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
