Hunter House

Hunter House College - a brief overview.

Hunterhouse College was founded by the amalgamation of Ashleigh House and Princess Gardens schools in 1987. The school is an all-girls' grammar school which is situated in Finaghy, Belfast. The school accepts pupils from across the community. When the two schools merged both headmistresses at the time were called Hunter and an original headmistress was also called Hunter so the new college was named Hunterhouse College. The school accepts about 100 pupils into year 8 (first form) and has just over 700 girls attending the school.

The school uses the new SEAG Single Entrance Transfer Test results as part of its intake criteria into year 8.
